The buckle is a single prong through a rolled roller; fast to set, and there is nothing in it to slip under load.
Nylon Webbing, 10 cm wide and a consistent thickness right the way round, so it braces at the front as well as the back. Three years of daily use leave it looking used rather than worn out.
