Nothing on Colonna 733 moves when you rack a heavy bar; the cross-members are welded, not bolted, which is what stops the racking motion.
Powder coat goes on over a phosphate key, which is why the finish stays put where a bar rubs it daily.
Powder-Coated Steel, 3 mm wall. Uprights are drilled on 51 mm centres with 16 mm holes, the common standard, so attachments are not proprietary. The finish marks before the frame does, which is the right way round.
