Sound was the point of Fondale 718: it takes the crack out of a drop and leaves a thud, which is the difference between a gym and a complaint.
A single continuous run so there is no joint for a sled to catch. Edges are chamfered to stop a trip point.
Loose-laid. It stays put under its own weight once a sled has run it a few times. There is nothing inside it to break loose or settle out of balance.

Use a pH-neutral cleaner if you mop — anything alkaline hardens rubber over time.
