The J-cups on Gabbia 636 are lined so the knurl on your bar survives the rack, which is the detail people only notice after a bar is ruined.
Powder coat goes on over a phosphate key, which is why the finish stays put where a bar rubs it daily.
Powder-Coated Steel, 3 mm wall. Uprights are drilled on 51 mm centres with 16 mm holes, the common standard, so attachments are not proprietary. It is built to be serviced rather than replaced: every wear part unbolts.
