The gap between back and seat pad on Lettino 997 is 15 mm, small enough that it is not something you feel through a heavy set.

Adjustment is a ladder-and-pin arrangement — slower than a gas strut, and it has nothing in it to fail. 250 kg rating covers user plus load.

Steel & Vinyl. The pad is high-density foam over ply, vinyl-covered and stitched rather than stapled, on a frame that tapers at the shoulder for a wider grip. Three years of daily use leave it looking used rather than worn out.
