Pesante 220 Cast Iron Plate Pair

Pesante 220 is the unglamorous option and the one most home gyms should buy first.

Flat faces, no raised rim, so they stack close on a tree and do not rock on a flat floor.

Plain cast iron, machined at the bore and painted after. It chips — all cast iron does — and it will still be weighing the same in twenty years. It is cheap to replace and slow to need it.

Care

Keep rubber plates out of direct sun; UV, not use, is what hardens and cracks them.
