Pesante 577 Olympic Barbell

The shaft of Pesante 577 is 29 mm with a dual-mark medium knurl: grippy under chalk, not so aggressive that high reps tear a hand open.

Sleeves spin on bronze bushings, which is what lets the bar rotate under a clean instead of twisting the wrists. Tensile strength 1200 MPa.

Whip is moderate: enough to feel on a heavy pull, not so much that a press wanders. Weight tolerance within 10 g per plate. Three years of daily use leave it looking used rather than worn out.
