A single continuous run so there is no joint for a sled to catch. Edges are chamfered to stop a trip point.

Recycled Rubber at 20 mm, dense enough that a loaded sled does not ripple it ahead of itself. It wears slowly and visibly, so you replace it because you decided to rather than because it failed mid-session.
