Set up for a coach who tests kit before recommending it, Ruotara 289 adjusts in four directions, so two people of different heights can share it without arguing about the seat post.
Powder-Coated Steel, with a chain drive that needs no tensioning between services. Q-factor is 165 mm, close enough to a road bike that it does not retrain your hips.
The console reads cadence, power and time, and it runs on batteries — no trailing cable, nothing to fail when a firmware server goes away. Nothing about it is glued shut, so a worn bushing stays a ten-minute job.
